VISION & EXPECTATION

Facilitator of ideas & knowledge - serve as a central entity for information needed by the Lao community, about the Lao community, and that directly or indirectly impacts the Lao community.

Provider of scholarship funds - provide funds for academic scholarships, vocational training, performing art, etc.

Center for Lao cultural presentation - promote the Lao language, customs, traditions, heritage, etc.

Reach out to the next generation - provide outreach to the next generation of Lao, encourage development and success, provide guidance, etc.

Resource Provider - provide access to information such as scholarship, events, career, health and human services, culture, etc.

Information about Laos/Lao - raise awareness and provide education about Laos, the Lao people and culture.

Coordinator of social events - coordinate get-togethers, information sessions, networking opportunities, etc.

Supporter of the Lao community - provide information or access to information for assistance in area such as family issues, housing, miscellaneous paper work, child support, social services, etc.

Have a Lao institution or community center - have a physical building, such as an office with staff, to provide services for the organization.

Have a national Lao network or organization - to provide services to the Lao community in the Greater Washington, DC Metro area and to other Lao communities accross the U.S.
